Courtyard Transformation: Stone by Stone
The installation of our stunning new displays in Stone Garden’s courtyard is complete! Here’s how the transformation came together stone by stone. The entire process was done in about a week thanks to the dedication of Juan Santiago and his hard-working team from JC’s Hardscape & Landscaping.

The project started with a full demolition of the back half of the courtyard, which had outdated products and displays. This area was cleared to make room for a fresh, new setup, featuring materials and designs now available in our collection including our great new Trex® Outdoor Furniture.
Laying a Fresh Base
Juan and his team laid down a solid foundation for the new patios using rock dust. They made sure the base was even with a screed bar, ensuring the pavers would be easier and faster to lay down.
Belgard® DuraFusion™ Midnight Border
The team began by laying a border of Belgard DuraFusion Midnight pavers.
These borders add clean lines and define the mini-patio sections to follow.
Belgard Dimensions™ 12 Mini Patios – Scandina Grey & Sepia
The first two contemporary patios were installed in the Dimensions 12 style in Belgard’s new colors: Scandina Grey and Sepia.
Stabil Concrete Pavers Sand Buff Charcoal Pavers
Across from the Dimensions section, Stabil Concrete Pavers Sand Buff Charcoal pavers were laid, featuring warm and cool tones for a versatile, variable look.
Belgard Cambridge Cobble in Avondale
Around the Angel Fountain, Belgard Cambridge Cobble® in Avondale was installed.
We stock four colors of the Cambridge Cobble paver. Its earthy browns and grays complement the tones of the adjacent Sand Buff Charcoal. These were laid in a mirrored Herringbone pattern for dynamic movement.
Belgard Dublin Cobble® – Hatteras & Arctic
Near the Trex green bar table set, two color options of Dublin Cobble were installed: Hatteras on the right, Arctic on the left. These give the space a rustic, old-world charm.
Belgard Cambridge Cobble – Arctic & Cobble Blend
Under the colorful Trex rockers and table, the Belgard Cambridge Cobble 2-piece style was laid in Arctic and Cobbleblend colors. The border was switched to Cobbleblend 6″x9″ to complement the rest of the remodel.
Belgard Aqualine™ Pavers
Beneath the iron benches and gliders are two styles of certified pervious Aqualine pavers by Belgard. These stones match the permeability often required to follow HOAs ruling. The 3pc option in Hatteras is on the left, while the 1pc option in Ardeness is on the right. These allow water to permeate, making them a great eco-friendly choice.
Belgard Highland Stone® Freestanding Wall
JC’s crew also built a small freestanding knee wall in the Oxford color, using the Highland Stone wall blocks. The wall is double-sided, making it attractive from any angle.
Belgard Holland Stone Style in Hatteras
Holland stone in the Hatteras color with a Slate border, achieves a classic brick look in the pathway leading up to the circle area.
Dimensions 12 Series in Hatteras
Our Lady of Lourdes statue overlooks the circular patio section. This is a custom-designed area, laid with the Dimensions 12 series in Hatteras, bordered with Holland Slate. JC’s crew cut and laid each piece with precision, showcasing their craftsmanship.
Filling the Joints with Pervious Material
The final step of installation involved filling in the joints with polymeric sand. This keeps the patios in place and ensures durability over time. For the pervious sections, Alliance Gator Aqua Rock and Techniseal® NOCO Storm polymeric sand were used to maintain permeability.
