Waterfall Dreams
Drew Thorndyke of Cape Fear Water Gardens fulfilled his customer’s lifelong dream when he designed and installed this incredible backyard waterfall garden that doubles as a recreational pond. The 30 x 45 foot pond was built using 70 tons of Spring Lake boulders. It’s hard to appreciate the scale of this project until you see the construction in process.

Drew’s team built a set of stone steps leading down to an underwater patio in PA Bluestone that rivals the patio above. To keep the water clear without chemicals, he constructed a 15 x 30 foot natural wetland filter. Water enters the pond and drops down over a 4,000 pound boulder used for the spillway.
